An educational event, aimed at press, sommeliers, buyers, members of both the on & off trade as well as wine educators
The theme for the tasting is Cabernet Family Genetics – a global journey and comparative tasting
Guests are invited to attend the whole day which will be run in a modular format, with the sessions on Tuesday being repeated on Wednesday. The days will be divided into two main tasting modules:
Morning Keynote speech by Brian Croser on Cabernet Family genetics Followed by a tasting of Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot & Carmenere
Afternoon Sustainability and South America Followed by a tasting of Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon
The line-up of wines in each of the workshops will not only include wines from the Santa Rita Estates portfolio, but other brand examples from around the world showing specific regional characteristics and varietal typicity.
Confirmed speakers & commentators for the sessions include internationally renowned oenologist Brian Croser, Santa Rita winemaker Andrés Ilabaca , Carmen winemaker Sebastián Labbé, Nativa winemaker Felipe Ramirez, Santa Rita Estates viticulturalist Sebastian Warnier and Doña Paula winemaker David Bonomi.
Tim Atkin MW will chair the workshops.
